Special presses for hot stamping of boron steel parts

Hot Stamping meets the expectations of the automobile industry
for the reduction of weight while enhancing the crash
behaviours. In order to manufacture extremely solid reinforcing
parts the unprocessed blanks are heated to approx. 950°C,
formed in a tool of a special press connected to a cooling system
and then cooled in a controlled way resulting in superior material
properties.
